Описание: Demonstration of the 'buff stop' on an 18th century English harpsichord by Longman & Broderip. The instrument is part of the Benton Fletcher collection which is hosted in the Fenton House in London. In the introduction part of the video I give some information about the instrument.

On the day I recorded the video the weather and humidity had been drastically changing as it can happen during spring. Because of this inevitable external factor and the fact that my visit happened several days after Ben's visit to the house, the tuning of the instrument is not as perfect as it would otherwise normally be. The purpose of this video is simply that of showing the effect of the buff stop on this historical keyboard and it was done without any special preparation of the instrument.. nor the music 🙃
