The Ultimate A/B Demonstration - Hear For Yourself!

Chad Kassem of Analogue Productions, Acoustic Sounds and Quality Record Pressings will be conducting an A/B comparison of four legendary titles - Dean Martin/Dream With Dean (stereo), Duke Ellington/Masterpieces (mono), The Beach Boys/Surfer Girl (stereo) and Jimi Hendrix/Axis: Bold As Love (stereo) - using his Analogue Productions reissues compared to the original pressings of those same titles. The playback will be done on Robin Wyatt’s very resolute system. You’ll be able to hear for yourself which version you prefer and why. Additionally, you’ll be able to see and hold the original jacket and compare it to the reissue jacket.

Chad did this same demonstration once before and the audience was amazed. Now it’s your turn. Hearing is believing.

Specs
Two separate turntable setups, the stereo player was a Technics SP10R turntable in an OMA Hypoeutectic iron 3D-printed plinth; Schroeder CB Magnet tonearm; Miyajima Labs Madake Destiny Stereo cartridge with tapered bamboo cantilever and fineline stylus; Wax Rax Turntable Temple stand; and Miyajima Labs KSW stereo step-up transformer.
Robyatt's mono player: PBN Original Technics SP10 MKIIs with PBN power supply; PBN SP10 Groovemaster Vintage Direct plinth; Sorane ZA-12 Tonearm; Pneuance Equipment Air Bearing Feet; Wax Rax LP Consol; Miyajima Labs Zero Infinity Mono cartridge with 0.7µ conical stylus; and Steve Berger Mono MM single-channel mono phono stage (custom unit).
Electronics included an Audible Illusions Modulus 3B preamplifier with John Curl-designed MC phono board and Butler Monad monoblock amplifiers (100Wpc into 8 ohms/200Wpc into 4 ohms with Psvane WE 1:1 300B tubes/pair, driving the Kent McCollum-refurbished Electrostatic Solutions Quad ESL loudspeakers.
