In Pakistan, social norms often limit fathers’ involvement in caregiving. To address this, Jhpiego Pakistan, in partnership with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, piloted an operations research initiative to engage male caregivers in child health and immunization using a transformative approach. The Men’s Engagement intervention brought fathers together through community-based group sessions, positioning them as nurturing role models. Led by social mobilizers from CSOs, the sessions created safe spaces for dialogue and learning on maternal and child health, immunization, family planning, shared household responsibilities, and positive couples’ communication.
