Take a minute to think about the oceans… without them, life would not exist.
• Oceans host 80% of the planet’s biodiversity.
• Over 3 billion people depend on fish as part of their diet.
• 1 in 10 people rely on the fishing industry to make a living.
• Around 30% of fish stocks are overfished.
• By 2050 rising sea temperatures will reduce catches of main fish species.
We all have a role to play to save our ocean:
• Consume a broader range of fish species
• Eat more local fish and support local fishing communities
• Don’t pollute
