ACP has sent Vivek on a special mission which is to find the whereabouts of a convicted terrorist by the name of Dhantelota . However, he suddenly goes missing and all contact with him is lost. ACP Pardyumann, worried about his well-being tells the rest of the team that Vivek s life maybe under threat from Dhantelota and gang who are planning to do some terrorist activity on the occasion of Independence Day. While the team is setting out to look for Vivek, they receive a panic call from a panicking victim who is trapped in a jungle with a serial killer. So, while one team goes to hunt for Vivek, the other one goes to save the victim under threat from a serial killer . However , both the teams suddenly go missing and ACP and Fredericks who has stayed back in Mumbai to monitor the safety of the city , come to know that all this is a set up by a criminal whom they had arrested years ago Jugraan. He is all set to kill the kidnapped CID cops and bomb the city on Independence Day . Its upto the CID team to rescue themselves and stop the bombing as well.
