Cutting this part with the plasmac config on linuxcnc. Quite amazing work by Phill as these settings are straight out of the box. Cutting 2mm mild steel at 2239 mm per min with a Thermal Dynamics A120 (120 amps) plasma cutter at 40 amps. Cutting on a 13 degree slope. 100% internal torch height control by Linuxcnc with torch height read by a Mesa THCAD board that costs just USD $69.
All cut settings stored on the plasma cutter and retrieved with a custom M190 command using a custom sheetcam post processor.
The probe velocity in this video was set artificially low as I was doing some tests when I decided to give this a go as there was some scrap on the table I could bend up to do this.
