Universal KU Band Satellite LNB's Explained- Free Satellite TV
Universal Ku Band satellite LNB’s can be used anywhere in the world for free satellite television reception, since they are capable of receiving the entire KU Band satellite frequency spectrum, from 10700 -12750 MHz. This video is an explanation of the switchable Local Oscillating frequency (L.O.) and the switchable voltage used by the Universal KU Band LNB’s to direct the signal flow of channels to your free satellite TV receiver. It uses a switchable Local Oscillating frequency of 9750-10600 MHz (controlled by the 22 KHz tone pulse) to control the low-band, and high-bands, and a switchable voltage of 13V or 18V to manage the Vertical (V) and Horizontal (H) polarized channels, respectively. They are a bit more complicated than a Standard Ku Band Satellite LNB.
LNB Frequency setup in your Free Satellite TV Receiver is VERY IMPORTANT!
Setting the LNB frequency correctly allows your receiver to calculate where to find the channels your satellite dish picks up. If it's not set correctly, you won't receive any channels.

Switching modes: (voltage provided by receiver):
Low Band:
0 KHz (22KHz switch tone OFF)
Local Oscillator frequency switches to 9750 MHz
13 V for Vertical Transponders (V)
18 V for Horizontal Transponders (H)
High Band:
22 KHz (22KHz switch tone ON)
Local Oscillator frequency switches to 10600 MHz
13 V for Vertical Transponders (V)
18 V for Horizontal Transponders (H)
