We traveled from Warmth Hill Crest Resort (that's where we stayed in Kodaikanal) a bit late in the morning. If you are planning a visit to Poondi, make sure to reach early morning in the village or late afternoon. On our way, there were plenty of attractions, but we traveled all the way to Poondi and reached the place by noon. That was a poor decision! The best time to explore Poondi is either in the early morning or late in the afternoon.

While you travel between Kodaikanal and Poondi, there are many other attractions including Pine Forests, Palani Temple View Point, Moir Point, Kookal Lake, Poombarai Village, Mannavannoor Lake, Sheep Research Center, and more. Among these attractions I liked Poombarai village and Sheep Research Center the most.

What are the things to do in Poondi village?
Poondi is a farming village in Tamil Nadu near Kodaikanal. There is a forest route between Vattavada in Kerala and Poondi, but temporarily closed by the forest department. While you are in Poondi, go for a village walk. Explore the local farms and talk with the farmers. Enjoy the village views and the terraced vegetable farms. I would also recommend sunsets and sunrises in Poondi with the terraced gardens in the foreground.
