In addition, 11-year-old Kenyan artist Angel Atieno adds her extraordinary vocals to the emotional song which states “this power from the suffer, made me cross over, struggle made me stronger ‘Ba shabol ngen skeker’ / made me glow and become awake’ (Nuer).

The Crossover video was shot on the tough streets of Makongeni, Nairobi, by Kenyan Director Nezzoh Montana. The visuals portray individuals in the community who use their strength and resilience to ‘crossover’ and follow their heart (purpose), their mind (vision) and activate their goals. The video was sponsored by Nido NEXIM International Development Organization. NIDO builds both primary and secondary schools in East Africa that offer free education to the children of conservation officers who pledge to avoid corruption and prevent poaching of endangered animals in East Africa.
