Artificial Intelligence is an important enabler of the worldwide transition towards circular and sustainable food systems. The implementation of AI comes with challenges, however, as ethical, legal and social aspects (ELSA) within innovations are often overlooked. At the ELSA Lab of Wageningen University & Research, we investigate these developments and create services together with stakeholders such as end users like farmers, food companies, researchers and policy makers to make food systems of the future more sustainable.
