Today we visited Sunwapta falls and hiked the beautiful Big Bend backcountry campsite in Jasper National Park. Sunwapta falls is a a common tourist attraction in the Park and is an impressive site. I would recommend continuing down the trail for another 6.3 km (one way) to see the incredible landscape at the Big Bend campsite. The trail is easy with a few wet areas to navigate.
The campsite is also a great location for a family overnight backbacking trip. The campsite has food storage lockers, pit toilet and picnic tables.
