Australia is planning to become the “only nation in the world” which has ever operated and owned a nuclear submarine without a nuclear industry in the country, says The Australian’s Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan.
“All the other nations in the world which own and operate nuclear submarines have big nuclear energy industries,” he told Sky News host Steve Price.
“The idea we can do this without having any other nuclear industry is just one of the many sort of fanciful, unbelievable aspects of AUKUS.”
