Описание: অবশেষে কেন্দ্রশাসিত জম্মু-কাশ্মীরে জেলা উন্নয়ন পরিষদ –ডিডিসি-র নির্বাচনে সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ আসন পেয়েছে ফারুক আবদুল্লাহর নেতৃত্বাধীন-গুপকর জোট। ২৮০ আসনের মধ্যে এখন পর্যন্ত ২৫১টির প্রাপ্ত ফলাফলে জোটটি পেয়েছে ৯৯টি সিট।

ফারুক আবদুল্লাহর দল ন্যাশনাল অ্যালায়েন্স পেয়েছে ৫৬টি আসন। ৭৭টি আসন পেয়ে একক বৃহত্তম দল হয়েছে ক্ষমতাসীন পার্টি-বিজেপি। কংগ্রেস জিতেছে ২২টিতে। আর নির্দলীয়রা পেয়েছেন ৪৫টি আসন। বিশেষ মর্যাদা বাতিলের পর গেল নভেম্বরের প্রথমবারের মতো নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠিত হয় ভারতশাসিত এই অঞ্চলটিতে। বিশ্লেষকরা বলছেন, নির্বাচনে চরমভাবে ব্যর্থ হয়েছে বিজেপি। কারণ ফারুক-সহ গুপকর জোটের একাধিক নেতার বিরুদ্ধে দুর্নীতির মামলা চলছে। আচমকা ভোট ঘোষণার ফলে প্রস্তুতির খুব বেশি সুযোগও পায়নি বিরোধীরা। ফারুক, ওমর ও পিডিপি নেত্রী মেহবুবা মুফতি প্রচাচনা চালাননি। তাই গুপকর জোটের এই ফল বিজেপির জন্য বিরাট ধাক্কা।
