Salem is the new steel ship available in the forge for 25,000 steel. She is a premium American heavy cruiser at tier 8, and comes with radar, DFAA, and a super heal good for over 18,000 health. The radar is a little shorter range, and the sonar is missing but Salem makes up for it in sheer firepower. She has 9 x 203mm guns, that like Des Moines, are autoloading guns, and reload in 5.5 seconds base giving her one of the highest damage output potentials at the tier. In addition, she has the strongest DPS for her AA guns at tier 8, a strong 30mm deck and upper belt, and decent concealment. Curious about brining her to your port?
