ALL ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES MUST NOT FOCUS ON MONEY, INSTEAD FOCUS ON SERVICE: BISHOP ALEIXO DIAS

Описание: Feast of Saint Francis Xavier (known as Goencho Saib) was celebrated at Old Goa on 3rd December 2021. Bishop Emeritus of Port Blair Most Rev. Aleixo Dias, sfx( part of the Pillar Fathers congregation from Calangute currently residing at Pillar) was the Main Celebrant.

While delivering his homily Dias said, "There is so much evil in the world today, Robbery, Eve Teasing, Violence, Theft, and many others. I feel bad that such incidents are happening in Goa as well. The Government could have done a lot to protect Goa, but it hasn't. I am requesting our elected representatives to open their eyes and not focus on money. God has selected you, to help the citizens, and not fill your pockets, instead you have to serve society. I am inviting all the representatives to do so."



Archbishop of Goa and Daman Most Rev. Filipe Neri Ferrao, Bishop of Sindhudurg Most Rev. Alwyn Barretto and Rector of Basilica of Bom Jesus Fr. Patricio Fernandes concelebrated the Feast Mass.


Devotees from across Goa and pilgrims from India participated in the Feast Mass.
