So basically the risk factor plays a major role when we talk about seafarer's salary.

Merchant navy Salary depends on following factors .
1.Type of ship and cargoes carried by the ship.
2. Size and Mode of operation of Company.
3.Years of experience in Rank.
4.Trading Area.
5.Type of Employment. ETC

Salary varies from ship to ship and from companies to companies.
