Like he says in the movie, he was thrown from the crash. He wandered the desert until he was picked up by a scavenger who was friendly to the Resistance. Or at least against the First Order. They made their way to Niima Outpost, and along the way Poe helped fight off some raiders. Rey and Finn had already left in the Millennium Falcon, but the scrapper was grateful for Poe’s help, and got him passage back to the Resistance base. From there he left for Takodana almost immediately. #starwars
