Oreke Falls is a stunning scenic reserve in the Bay of Plenty region.
Known for its white water rafting, there are viewing platforms that provide great views of the magnificent waterfalls and rafters making their way down the Okere and Kaituna Rivers. We even spotted the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the world.
There are numerous information panels along the track, describing the human and natural landscape.
We explored the bush walk tracks, lookouts, caves and scenery to see if it was worth a trip when not white water rafting.
