Zuleikha vs. her ex-husband: Freedom behind closed doors of the court

Having endured years of homelessness and hardship and now on the verge of having a safe home, she is faced with a short deadline from the municipality to pay her gas permit. Despite fasting and fatigue from heavy work, she goes to the municipality to perhaps reduce the amount, but her tears and pleas are in vain and her request is rejected.
In the height of despair, Zuleikha decides to take a bigger step. She heads to the city again, this time to the courthouse to clarify the status of her divorce once and for all. But there she is faced with a shocking truth: her ex-husband’s name has not yet been removed from the system and they are still legally considered husband and wife.
This discovery is a new blow to a woman who thought she had left the past behind. Now she is forced to start the divorce process again to officially establish her independence and future.
A story of the struggle of a single mother who fights not only with poverty and cold, but also with the complexities of the law and the shadows of the past; a woman who must untie the knots of yesterday one by one in order to build a bright future.
