There has been a community discussion about what expectations should be from the youtube personalities and live streamers especially with regards to playing with subscribers while going for gameplay. Mostly telling them to run support for the star of the show or get out.
I argue that this is a completely expected result of video makers and live streamers trying to meet the damand for lots of high kill, high k/d games with lots of MOABs (single, double, triple and even quad).
Because it is both easier to do video simply of the live player point of view and because viewers can easily see what the player is doing we see lots of that kind of video. Using more points of view and camera shots quickly makes a video more complicated. Possibly even to the detriment of the final product. While such high effort and high production value videos might be great for some stuff there is demand for much more. And so video makers try to fill it. Good ones will be able to establish themselves and offer something that is unique to keep viewers coming back when there is so much content out there. Something of a victim of their own success streaming makes an attractive addition to the video lineup.
