Also good to know:
Baste stitches are usually temporary stitches, that you remove as you go. BUT I do not remove these stitches, I just sew them at a shorter seam allowance so that you can not see them once the bag is finished.
I use a baste stitch to nicely sew different layers together.

! For a baste stitch I use a stitch length of 3-4mm. And a seam allowance of 1/4".
