Employee Orientation for Mutual Health Group
ADDING MEDIA AND SPECIAL EFFECTS
PROJECT STEPS
1. You work in the Human Resources Department at Mutual Health Group, a large provider of managed healthcare plans. One of your jobs is to assist with the orientation of new employees at the monthly employee orientation sessions. You open a presentation that contains information for the employee orientation and make changes to improve its impact.
Begin by adding the date and time to every slide in the presentation and the footer text Mutual Health Group to every slide in the presentation except the title slide.
2. On the title slide, format the two shapes. Change the fill color of the cross shape to Red (2nd color box in the row of standard colors), and apply the Linear Up gradient (3rd row, 2nd column in the Dark Variations section). Flip the blue quote box shape horizontally. Fill the blue quote box shape with a picture using the file Support_PPT19_EOM2-2_Physician.jpg.
3. On Slide 2 ("Overview"), modify the two pictures by adding the Simple Frame, White picture style to them.
4. With Slide 2 ("Overview") still displaying, open the Animation pane and modify the animations. Remove the animation from the slide title (designated as Rectangle 2). Change the order of the animation of the remaining two objects so that the picture of the doctor (Picture 8) is the first object to be animated. Change the direction of the animation applied to the picture of the doctor to From Top-Right.
5. On Slide 3 ("Company History"), insert the Trademark symbol (™) with Character code 2122 following "Seniors First" in the second bulleted item.
6. On Slide 4 ("Products & Services"), animate the text box containing "Customized Plans" with the Wipe Entrance animation. Change the animation duration to 1:00. Change the animation Start option to After Previous. Use the Animation Painter to apply the animation settings to the "Excellent Payment Terms" text box. Preview the animations on Slide 4.
7. On Slide 5 ("Giving Back"), apply banded rows to the table. Specify that the table includes a header row. Select row 5 (contains "Special Events"). Delete row 5. Insert the picture file Support_PPT19_EOM2-2_HeartHands.jpg into the merged cell in the last row of the table. Change the height of the new row 5 to 3.2. Apply the Outside Borders border style to the table border. Align the table to the middle of the slide.
8. On Slide 6 ("Employee Benefits"), use the Film Grain Artistic effect to modify the picture of the medical staff. Apply an Orange, Accent 5 picture border with a 6-point weight. Rotate the picture exactly 15 degrees.
9. On Slide 7 ("Contacts"), use the placeholder to insert a table consisting of three columns and three rows. Enter data in the table as shown in Table 1.

10. Further enhance the table. Change the width of column 2 to exactly 3.5". Change the width of column 3 to exactly 1". Apply Orange, Accent 5, Lighter 80% (2nd row, 9th column) shading to all the cells in row 3. Align the table to the middle of the slide.
11. Add the header Managed Health Care to all the Notes and Handouts pages.
In Slide Sorter view, your presentation should look like the Final Figure on the following page. Save your changes, close the presentation, and exit PowerPoint. Follow the directions on the SAM website to submit your completed project.
