{Taken from their website} We are Rachel, Paul, Sunny & Iyla. We have been living & working on our farm in Southern Portugal since 2008 with both our children being born here. Originally from the U.K. we finally settled in Portugal after years of global exploration to begin our dream of a more settled holistic lifestyle incorporating biodynamic farming. Due to the drop in wholesale fruit prices in Portugal in recent years, powered by the increase in demand for perfection from supermarkets and cheap imports, we now look towards other avenues to obtain a fairer, more realistic trade for our produce. We have always produced dried fruit & veg here for ourselves, but recently turned our whole orchard over to dried fruit production. Why keep our delicious produce to ourselves when we can share it! We hope through our new venture we can pass on our eco healthy snacks to everyone at a realistic cost in the modern world.

It has been over 16 years now since we set off in our 1984 Mercedes Campervan, following our faith and searching for a new and better world. That world that was eventually discovered in the Center of Southern Portugal. Those years have left us wiser and better in so many ways. The new and old skills which we practice daily help us in our quest for an even better, fairer and more harmonious existence.

Occasionally we encounter other souls seeking advice and friendship in their own search, and when possible, we offer our services the best we can. Some of the skills we have learnt and developed on our Quinta include;

Organic Dried Fruit Production and Drying, Mushroom log cultivation using both Black poplar and Eucalyptus, Fruit tree grafting, propagation, cultivation and maintenance, Organic vegetable production, Irrigation implementation and maintenance, Cider and wine making, Herbal Tincture Production & Eco construction with loadbearing strawbale and lime.

Occasionally we have a small selection of trees in our own nursery, and we can source Fruiting and Non Fruiting trees including hard to find tropical varieties. We always have self saved seeds of numerous heirloom vegetable varieties for sale or swap. We are particularly interested in scion wood exchange in the Wintertime when we also have various cuttings available for propagation.

Paul holds a qualification in Permaculture Design, studying under Joshua Gomez, and has a wealth of experience with this field in the local climate.

Rachel holds diploma’s in Hypnotherapy and Angelic Reiki, amongst others, and offers her services for Healing purposes.
