India Issues Strong Message on PoJK, South China Sea & Strait of Hormuz

Описание: India has reiterated its firm position on key regional and global issues during the latest Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) briefing.

On the ongoing protests in Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK), India said the unrest reflects decades of systemic exploitation, denial of fundamental rights, and administrative oppression under Pakistan's illegal occupation. India also called on the international community to hold Pakistan accountable for human rights violations.

Regarding the South China Sea, India reaffirmed its support for freedom of navigation and overflight, peaceful resolution of maritime disputes under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), and described the 2016 Arbitral Tribunal ruling as an important milestone for resolving disputes peacefully.

On West Asia, India strongly condemned the attack that resulted in the death of an Indian national and injuries to several others. New Delhi conveyed its strongest protest to Iran, called for an immediate end to violence, urged de-escalation, and reiterated that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only path to lasting peace.

India also emphasized the importance of maintaining safe and unimpeded navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, calling it vital for global trade, energy security, and economic stability.
