This week I finally beat Elden Ring Nightreign with my friends as we took up our weapons and fought the enemies from several From Software games. Elden Ring Nightreign offers a cool new way to experience the Soulsborne formula in co-op and the true highlight are the fights that you get to experience with your friends. If you play solo this game is actually quite boring and repetitive and even with the multiplayer I did get bored of the map eventually. It is basically the same map you explore with a few alterations here and there. The exploration which is something I love about Soulsborne games in general, is completely absent here.
What does stay fun all the way through are the boss fights and some of the new bosses in here are really good. Overall I think it was a fun little attempt to mix up the formula, but I am now yearning for a proper, new singleplayer game from Miyazaki.
