Found a Nuvinci Hub that is beyond repair in the trash. So decided to tear it down and see how it's built.
The steel balls are 76g per ball.
When cleaning up, I was able to find out what happened with these crushed springs as seen end mentioned in the video. This is from a Simmerring that is on the shaft. So I think that this spring for whatever reason broke and mate the way into the transmission which then failed.
