A Lagos tenant, Oyinkansola Talabi, has filed a formal petition with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, accusing the sub-lessor of her apartment in Oniru, Green Birch Tech Limited, of violating a subsisting court order by attempting to forcibly enter her apartment. This follows a High Court ruling in December 2025 that directed all rent payments to be made through a court-appointed receiver, preventing Green Birch Tech from collecting any payments. Talabi also raised concerns about non-functional facilities, inconsistent electricity, and ongoing disputes over billing arrangements. She is now calling for intervention by the Lagos State government and agencies such as the Special Task Force on Land Grabbers to protect tenants and enforce the law.
