Inside Costa Rica’s Wildlife Rescue Emergency Room

Описание: Our Costa Rica series begins at the Toucan Rescue Ranch, one of the country’s leading wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centres.

We travel to Costa Rica to meet the team on the ground and see firsthand what it takes to care for injured, orphaned, and rescued wildlife before they’re returned to the wild. From sloths and toucans to a jaguarundi and an injured boa receiving X-rays, this episode gives an inside look at the constant work happening behind the scenes.

We also visit the Ranch’s release site, where rehabilitated animals are prepared for life back in the forest, and witness the care and precision that goes into feeding and monitoring young animals, including baby monkeys.
Just as the day begins to slow, another call comes in, and more injured animals are on the way. It’s a reminder that in wildlife rescue, the work never really stops.

This episode sets the stage for our Costa Rica journey, exploring the challenges, urgency, and hope behind saving wildlife in one of the most biodiverse places on Earth.
