How Congress went from single largest party in Goa to less than a handful of MLAs

Описание: To say the Congress is faltering in Goa would be a gross understatement. Even when the state gave the Congress a mandate of 17 seats in a House of 40, the party bungled it up so badly, that the BJP literally stole its thunder and the seat of power, forming the government in spite of winning lesser seats than the Congress. That was in 2017. Four years later, the Congress has been reduced to a bit player in the state with just four MLAs left. The others have all joined the BJP, taking the saffron party's tally to 27 with Assembly elections just a few months away. The latest to quit is two-term CM and one of the Congress' most senior leaders in Goa -Luizinho Faleiro, who's joining Mamata Banerjee's TMC.
