Top 10 Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum Music by Junichi Masuda

Описание: These "Top 10 Pokemon..." videos are a series of videos dedicated to the talented composers at Game Freak. The main thing I wanted to do with these videos is compare the composers (Who's your favorite one?), see similarities between them, show how much Pokemon music has evolved/improved over the years, and have an easy way to listen to my favorite tunes from these games.

It seems Junichi Masuda will continue to only compose the battle themes in Pokemon; which of course is his specialty, so no objections here! Although, I must admit that the battle music in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl is a step down from Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire; maybe it's because of the missing trumpets and "bombastic" GBA instruments. Masuda's battle themes here sound more atmospheric, and honestly even a little boring. Some songs just seem to go nowhere like the Dialga & Palkia Battle music, but the melody is really good so it sorta gets a pass. However, the Giratina Battle theme sounds more like something he would have composed in Ruby/Sapphire, and with Go Ichinose arranging the song it's no surprise that it slaps as hard as it does.
