She alleged she was raped twice, filmed, and intimidated to prevent her from testifying. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) later rescued the victim from a farmhouse. Prajwal Rivanna, son of HDD Rivanna, is the prime accused in multiple sexual abuse and rape cases that came to light during the Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka. After the scandal emerged in April last year, he fled to Germany and was arrested upon his return to Bengaluru.
