Maybe we wouldn't be so quick to trash the Mikuni in favor of the Weber, if we'd have grown up with the Mikuni and formed an intimate relationship with it but we never did, plus the Mikuni is kind of scratchy.
Did we increase performance and economy? We can't really say, it just didn't run well to begin with. An 86 D50 2.0 auto should get around 18 to 20 mpg, some of the forums have claimed close to 30 with the Weber swap, we'll have to see.

The regulator was a rip-off Holley style, also an ebay buy, this is the description: 12-804 Low Fuel Pressure Regulator Gauge Kit. $35.57

We're still dialing our return line metered orifice, drill bit size .050 might be too small (5 psi), 1/16 was too large (0 psi), a number 55 bit got us 2 psi, still playing with it.
