Hello AGAPE Church,
Peter writes a general letter to people in ‘today’s Turkey’ – with a specific purpose: 1 Peter 5:12 – “I’m writing to encourage you. Your experience is part of GOD’s grace for you. Stand firm in this grace.”

When going through a trial, instead of falling into the temptation to turn inward, Peter is encouraging people to ‘greatly rejoice’ in this midst of it. How does that work? This Bible study identifies three areas: #1- This world is not our home. #2- We belong to GOD. #3- We’ve been given the Holy Spirit.

Let’s remember that we are ‘pilgrims’… (it’s all ‘temporary’, and we’re passing through). So instead of ‘avoiding suffering’, let’s ‘endure the suffering’ – and grow.
