Crafted in Europe by expert shoemakers — many of them former dancers — Gaynor Mindens combine traditional artistry with advanced materials. They last three to five times longer than most pointe shoes thanks to their flexible molded shanks and toe boxes, made from a high-tech synthetic prized for strength, pliability, and resilience. This is not the 19th-century paste-and-cardboard construction of traditional shoes. In fact, our shanks and boxes have been tested to withstand hundreds of thousands of relevés without softening or losing shape.

Consistent Support, Perfect Fit
The buoyant support you feel on day one will be the same on day one hundred. Gaynor Mindens don’t break down — so selecting your ideal stiffness from our five stock options (plus additional special-order choices) is key. Shanks are pre-arched for beautiful lines and optimal support, yet still encourage proper footwork through demi-pointe.
