Track Day - Cadwell Park - 31.08.21

Описание: Latest track day, this time with Javelin at Cadwell Park.

This was the first full days outing since the test at Bedford a few weeks ago to shake down the new engine build and the car performed brilliantly (engine wise). I did have a few issues with other areas but nothing serious. Mainly the brakes being an issue after the binding issue I had at the Bedford shakedown (pads too thick warped my discs). Plus still having power steering belts come off mid session too. Thankfully neither issue too serious enough to ruin the day and an easy fix.

Met up with a few fellow MX5 track day mates. Always great fun to be on track with friends in similar cars, although it was difficult this time over as it was a busy day on a small track and being let out together happened very rarely.

The final session of the day was really the only time we had on track together the whole day and it was a good one.

This video is of me catching up to them once I'd passed traffic and then having a good scrap, until I ran out of talent and over shot a corner running deep onto the grass (this had nothing to do with my brake problem, that was a general issue all day, this was me missing my braking point).

In a way it was a good job it ended there as my alternator died that session and I had literally no fuel, below the empty!

A great day none the less.
