Niavaran Palace is one of the famous sights of Tehran city in Niavaran Garden, Shemiranat region. This palace is located in the northeast of Bagh Niavaran and is one of the last royal residences in Iran.

Niavaran Palace dates back to the Pahlavi era, and before the Pahlavi family settled in this palace and Niavaran garden, the Qajar kings used this garden as a summer retreat.Due to the proximity to the mountain and the excellent weather in this area from the north of Tehran, Fath Ali Shah ordered to build a garden and a mansion for summer in this area.During the time of Muhammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, Bagh Niavaran and its palaces had not changed significantly; But in 1337, by the order of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, they destroyed the palace of Fath Ali Shah Qajar and built today's Niavaran Palace. At first, the exclusive building of Niavaran Palace was designed to receive foreign guests; But after the completion of the construction, it became the residence of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi's family.

Niavaran Palace has a simple yet modern architecture. In this building, beautiful plasterwork, mirrorwork and outstanding tiling can be seen. In this palace, exquisite paintings by famous domestic and foreign painters have been preserved. Valuable hand-woven carpets and precious decorative items are among other things to see in Niavaran Palace.
