Описание: Asthma, dry eyes, itchy skin, sore throat, and difficulty concentrating—these are just a few of the health issues caused by poor air quality and incorrect humidity levels in modern, energy-efficient buildings. How did we reach this point? Can we do better? In this talk, Dr. Posani explores how the historical evolution of European construction techniques led to sick buildings. By understanding our past and learning from our mistakes, we can move forward and create breathing, healthier indoor environments. And we can do so with very low environmental footprints. Dr. Magda Posani holds an MSc degree in Architectural Engineering and Architecture from the University of Bologna in Italy, and a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Porto in Portugal. She is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at ETH Zurich, within the Sustainable Construction Group. Her research lies at the interface between hygrothermal building physics, material science, and heritage conservation. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
