Brigette Namata sits down with the former Honolulu Police Officer on the direction he's taking the new agency, and how he plans to build community trust, as several state law enforcement divisions come together under one umbrella.

"The Department of Law Enforcement (DLE) consolidated a lot of state functions. It had the sheriff's division, state narcotics, investigators from the Attorney General's office, Homeland Security, and Harbors all smooshed into one. Each division has its own heritage and history. It gives an opportunity. The DLE has a new direction and vision," said Lambert.
