This is done by creating 3D nulls from Element 3D in After Affects using the Element 3D V2 compositing settings a plug-in for After Effects CC. Also learn how to use a live depth pass in Element 3D for After Effects using Multi-Pass Render settings in order to composite optical flares within your Element 3D scene without needing to render the passes out separately. The depth pass from Element 3D will aid in compositing the Optical Flares into the scene using settings in Element 3D for After Effects CC.
