Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has announced he will disclose alleged corruption-related files from the previous Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government at an appropriate time. The statement was made amid a heated exchange in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly between ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) and opposition DMK members concerning alleged irregularities in road-laying works.The disruption occurred during a debate on road-laying irregularities, with both parties exchanging accusations. Chief Minister Vijay intervened, stating, “I will reveal the corruption files from the previous DMK regime at an appropriate time. I have two files on my desk. Don’t force me to do it now.”
The opposition AIADMK members staged a walkout from the Tamil Nadu Assembly on Wednesday after Speaker J C D Prabhakar ruled that an issue the party wanted to raise would be taken up on Thursday.
