The BMW 3.3 Li was produced between July 1975 and February 1977. In all 1401 cars were produced of which more than 2/3 were equipped with a 3-speed Borg-Warner automatic gearbox. The cars were equipped with Bosch L-jetronic fuel system and transistorized ignition.The 3.3 Li replaced the former carburettor version 3.3 L and the cylinder volume changed from 3299 ccm to 3210 ccm by changing the piston stroke from 88,4 mm to 86 mm. The letter "L" stands for long wheel base (german "Lang") and the L-versions (2.8 L, 3.0 L, 3.3 L and 3.3 Li) were all extended by 10 cm = 4 inches (rear door extension). Of the 1401 produced cars about 30 are believed to be in running condition World Wide (mainly Germany and Italy).
The car in the slideshow has been restored to original color and details between 2010-2011.
