Into the Breach 6) Ignition with the Flame Behemoths

About the Flame Behemoths:

I'd say the general strategy with these guys is to light as much of the map on fire where you can then use the abilities of the whole squad better. These guys are a slow burning team (heh). It takes a while to set up and deal damage to vek. Hence, a weakness with this team is dealing damage without it coming from vek being on fire. They simply don't have enough brute force as compared to some of the other squads.

Flame Mech: The main way you are dealing damage with this squad. Ignites a tile and pushes a unit away. If the target is already on fire, it deals 2 damage. Ideally, you use this mech to set every tile and vek on fire and then roast the problem vek for an extra 2 damage. But the more important property is setting the tiles on the map on fire. This helps:
1) set emerging vek on fire, already damaging them
2) helps to control the spaces in which vek move and attack in as they try not to end up in fire.
3) gives the meteor and swap mech more targets to push vek into so they catch on fire.
It's recommended to get the first upgrade and extend the flamethrower range ASAP.
Meteor Mech: Probably the least important member. The Meteor mech will light a tile on fire and push away adjacent tiles. Needed at the start of a mission to help control the map and deal future damage, and then the pushing power helps control the vek later on. Getting backburn can help with spreading fire around the map and helps protect the Meteor Mech a little.
Swap Mech: Easy to use, simply swap the target with the swap mech. Very versatile, swap an ally to get it out of trouble or swap with a vek to put it in fire, drop it in water, drop it in a chasm, help attack another vek, or move an annoying enemy around. Recommended to get one upgrade to its range ASAP to make it more useful and versatile.
