This was event number 1. This had 135 runners, joggers or walkers and 25 amazing volunteers that showed up in the bitterly cold conditions that soon heated up in the woods.

Course Description

A mixed terrain course covering predominantly a one lap route with a couple of repeated sections. The start and finish are close to the main car park and toilet facilities. The route takes place within the Tangham area of Rendlesham Forest, travelling through the sculptured forest venturing to the upper section of the forest, passing the old airfield before returning down to the finish. Due to the terrain, parts of the course may be unsuitable for buggies, please contact the team in advance for more information.

Facilities

Toilet facilities are available, children’s play areas and Tangham campsite.

Please note: Rendlesham Forest is a bin free site so all rubbish needs to be taken home with you.

Location of start

The event start point is about 100 meters from the main car park.

Getting there on foot

Rendlesham Forest is accessible from all directions on foot, however public footpaths are limited.

Getting there by road

If using SATNAV the postcode is IP12 3NF.

Follow the A12 then signs for B1084 Orford. Follow brown signs for Rendlesham Forest Centre.
