Why I don’t use packing cubes anymore.

Описание: TRAVEL TUESDAY: I don’t use packing cubes anymore. I know I know. They’re great! I used them for years and they served me well, but this packing hack just quite frankly knocks the socks of stuffing and wrestling individual cubes. Ever since discovering using vacuum bags to pack my suitcase when we travel I’ve never looked back. I’ve packed for 10 days in Morocco, a snow activity filled trip to Canada and beyond using this method and nothing beats it. It compresses my clothes so even bulky sweaters are no match, allowing me to carry on instead of checking bags without having to sacrifice outfits or leave things I wanted to bring at home. A couple of pro tips I’ve learned in using them…

1. Put your filled bag in your suitcase before vacuuming. It will conform to the shape of its surroundings. If you seal it outside of the suitcase it will be nearly impossible to force into it afterwards.

2. Pack an extra bag. There’s always the chance the seal will break or the bag will rip. Better to be safe than sorry, and able to re-vacuum seal to get home.

3. The Medium size bags fit perfectly in one side of a carry on.

4. Don’t forget your pump!
