Airy, crisp, and a joy to wear, khadi weaves were popularized in their native India as a way for people to achieve self-sufficiency under British rule. To this day, this artisanal fabric is made all over India, and we're proud to be able to offer it here!
With a fine, hand-woven finish, this khadi cotton chambray is crisp, easy-to-sew, and pleasantly rustic to the touch. As it is hand-spun, there are subtle variations in the surface. Its light and breezy feel mean it'd make a lovely tunic, a sharp summer button-down, or even a pair of summer pyjamas. Fully-opaque, it doesn't require a lining.
