I always look to Katy Lied when I need to focus in on my backbeat playing (along with many other records). Jeff Porcaro's time feel is right down the middle on this album so I always find it nice to lock in with. I also love his way of variating the simplest theme/fill on this specific song, which he played a lot throughout this earlier part of his career in the mid 70s. The tom overdub in the outro was a lot of fun to work out and record as well! Enjoy!
