🧠 Did you know your child has two brains? (Okay, not literally—but hear me out!)
They have a Blue Brain—calm, kind, thoughtful.
And then there’s the Red Brain (Let's call it Rascal) —wild, impulsive, and definitely not a fan of sharing toys or waiting patiently.
When your child is happy, relaxed, and reasoning things out? That’s their Blue Brain at the wheel.
But when they’re shouting, fibbing, refusing to share, or full meltdown mode? That’s Rascal in charge!
💡 Why is this important to know? Because kids can’t fully control Rascal—but they can learn to take care of him/her so Rascal doesn’t storm in and take over.
And guess what: we’ve got a Rascal too. (Yes, even us grown-ups.)
The more we show up with our own Blue Brain—calm, steady, and supportive—the more our kids learn how to do the same.
So next time your child’s Rascal is raging, ask yourself:
👀 Which brain am I bringing to this moment?
Let’s help our little ones manage their emotions—not by battling their Rascal with our own—but by showing them how to keep their Blue Brain in charge.
Coaching can give children the space to talk about their inner Rascal and to practice strategies to keep Rascal in check so their blue brain takes the lead most of the time.
