Описание: ASIMO is the world's most advanced humanoid robot. Its development began in secrecy when in 1986 Honda engineers envisioned the perfect home-helper - a robot that could work, walk and talk. They designed a machine that could accomplish daily human tasks and lighten our load. Not only can it walk, it can run, play ball, climb up and down stairs, avoid obstacles, recognize and interact with people, even fetch you a drink, all by itself. Spinoff technology from ASIMO's research has led to the development of personal assist devices like the Uni-Cub motorized monocycle and the Stride Management Assist. We meet with Honda's robotics engineers, learn how they developed bipedal technology, and explore their vision of providing us with better means of mobility and comfort.
