DONA-Approved Birth Doula Training - Dec. 5-6 & 12-13, 2020

Описание: If you've ever considered becoming a doula, now is the perfect time. We are offering virtual doula workshops where you can learn, from the comfort and safety of your own home, to become a respected and competent member of any birthing team.

The class is broken into four sections over four days. The childbirth education class is loaded with critical information that will leave you feeling confident in your new role as a doula. You'll learn about the role of a doula specifically regarding the end of pregnancy, labor and birth.

You'll receive a digital manual of our Birth Doula workshop.

In the second segment, we'll go over the practical training of how to be a doula. We'll learn about the standards of practice and the code of ethics, which is something that really sets DONA apart in the doula world. They literally wrote the book on these items, so we pride ourselves on being affiliated with DONA.

In the third segment, you'll learn about setting up a business, if you choose that direction once you're certified. If you want to set up your own doula business, you'll be ready to do that on day 1. If you are going to work with an agency, you'll be ready to do that when you finish this training. You'll also be ready to join a hospital group or midwifery practice, as a doula on staff. And if you aren't sure yet, we'll talk about some of the pros and cons of all those choices as well. We'll also cover social media dos and don'ts, and we'll talk about interacting with the community at large.

You may come away from this training feeling very inspired to speak at colleges and universities. You might feel driven to go out into your community and educate people about the role of a doula.

In our fourth segment, we will extensively cover breastfeeding. We'll learn about the anatomy and physiology of breastfeeding, how often to feed a baby, how to assist someone in getting a good latch and getting those first few feedings off the ground. New parents being deeply informed and confident about breastfeeding will make all the difference in the world.
