Hello everyone, and welcome (or welcome back) to my channel! In this video we're addressing part of the question I get asked the most: "what was it like being a broadcast journalist?"

**I want to stress that everyone's journey is different, and this one was MINE. It was not all awful or horrible: I had an amazing ten years, and I wouldn't change a thing. That being said, I think the general public has a tendency to conflate the glam we see in television (i.e., the typical notions and perceptions of Hollywood) with being on television in general. Radio is a bit of a different beast, especially if you work in news, but I believe that some of that "glam" does carry over from TV to radio, and that's not 100% the case at all—it's why I wanted to make this video because most folks don't know what goes on behind the scenes.
